A two-player game for you and a friend
Some games are better with someone to beat. Twelve Yards is a penalty shootout duel: you take a kick, your friend dives, then you swap. Both of you choose at the same time, so it comes down to who reads the other better.
PLAY FREE NOWThree ways to play together
- Online, wherever you both are. Send a challenge link; your friend opens it, signs in and you're playing. Make it a best of three.
- On one phone. Pass & Play: shoot, hand the phone over, and they save. No account needed.
- Two against two. Bring two more friends to a team room: in every round one of each team shoots and the other keeps goal.
Why it works as a two-player game
Each kick is a secret choice against a secret choice: the corner and the power against the dive. Neither of you sees the other's move until the ball is struck, so there is nothing to react to, only someone to outguess. Matches are short, the rules take a minute to learn, and the better reader wins.
Keep the rivalry going
- Rivals keeps your head-to-head record with every friend you've played.
- Ask for a rematch at full time, tease them after a miss, and pick a celebration when you score.
- Challenge them to beat your Daily Penalty score: the same ten kicks for both of you.
